about

Daguerreotype Part 1 was assembled from my "song a week" project which, as the title suggests, is a project that involves me composing, recording, and releasing a song every week. The EP series are projected to be released every 3 months and will feature what I thought were the best songs from the past quarter.

Track Name: Lionel The Lion-Faced Man
My mother saw the lion come
consume my father when I was
still in her womb
and that's why they say I was born this way
they call me the lion-faced man

furs around my arms and back and there's a
snout on my face and fangs grow in my mouth
I'll shake my manes for you
if you call me the lion-faced man

Come hear me roar
hear me roar
hear me roar
hear me roar

My mother saw the lion come
consume my father when I was
still in her womb
and that's why they say I was born this way
they call me the lion-faced man
Track Name: Rapture
Do you believe in the words that you’re saying?
By tomorrow you’ll be gone
Leave all your longings and desires
Gather them over by the hills
The Cityscape will melt away

I’m wearing my heart on my sleeve
Can’t you see
I’m shaking about my knees

Don’t say good bye
Don’t say good bye

You’re all that I needed
You’re all that I needed
So come on down come on down
You’re all that I needed

I will stay and hold you back
Held your hand your nails were long
You dug them deep in my skin
I won’t feel the shame
as I plead with you to stay the night

I’m wearing my heart on my sleeve
Can’t you see
I’m shaking about my knees

Don’t say good bye
Don’t say good bye

You’re all that I needed
You’re all that I needed
So come on down come on down
You’re all that I needed
You’re all that I needed
Track Name: Black Out
There ain’t no lights no sound no movements here at all
There ain’t no people living here no more
There ain’t no story no possession here at all
There ain’t no more
There ain’t no more

There ain’t no rights no war no decisions made at all
There ain’t no walls that keep us here apart
There ain’t no saints no sinner no system here at all
There ain’t no more
There ain’t no more

There ain’t no man no spirit no more sorrow
There ain’t no happiness at all
There ain’t no laughs no sighs nothing at all
There ain’t no more
There ain’t no more
